[{"type":"text","content":"Au Gold Corp Completes Property-Wide Targeting Surveys Confirming Drill Targets at the Ponderosa Gold Project\n \n \n (TheNewswire)\n \n \n \n Vancouver, British Columbia\n–\n \n \n TheNewswire -\n \n \n September 22, 2021 –\n \n \n Au Gold Corp\n \n \n (TSXV:AUGC) (“\n \n \n AUGC\n \n \n ” or the\n“\n \n \n Company\n \n \n ”)\n \n \n is pleased to provide an update on\nexploration activities at its Ponderosa Gold Project near Merritt, BC.\n During spring and summer, the Company completed a successful\nproperty-wide helicopter-borne magnetic survey, followed by subsequent\ntarget select drone-based photogrammetry surveys and infill soil\ngeochemistry.  The program refined and prioritized known drill\ntargets and identified new target areas where additional work will be\nrequired.   Drill permitting is underway for the highest priority\ntargets and the fully funded exploration program, including both\ndrilling and mechanical trenching will commence as soon as approval is\ngranted.\n \n \n \n \n Processed data from each of the airborne surveys was\nused to conduct detailed lineament and structural analyses of the\nproject area focusing strongly on those characteristics associated\nwith existing mineralized bedrock exposures and immediate peripheral\nregions.  The interpretation suggests a complex structural setting\nwhile confirming observed orientations at the Tomahawk and Ribeye Zone\nbedrock exposures.  Numerous parallel to sub-parallel structural\ntrends are indicated as well as strike extensions of existing\nzones.\n \n \n \n \n Follow-up assessment was carried out at a number of\nspecific sites where geochemical anomalies of varying tenor coincide\nwith newly interpreted structural targets.  This ground inspection\nidentified several zones of localized silicification, oxidation and\nangular epithermal vein material of varying sizes.\n \n \n \n \n Based on the improved structural interpretation across\nmuch of the property and the successful confirmation of epithermal\nmineralization and associated alteration at a number of new sites, the\nhistorical soil geochemical results were closely re-examined.  Most\nof the vintage sampling was done at relatively coarse spacing with\nsamples collected at 50 m intervals along lines spaced 100 m apart and\nto a ...
