Alexander Nubia reports significant surface trench results at the Hamama VMS Deposit, 46 m grading 0.78 g/t gold, 14.7 g/t silver, 0.19% copper and 5.06% zinc in a new zone

* Trench AHA-ST-008 returned 48 m grading 0.50 g/t gold, 16.4 g/t silver, 0.11% copper, and 2.65% zinc

* A new discovery in the transition area between the Central and Eastern VMS Zones - this zone covers over 270 m along strike and is up to 48 m wide

Toronto, Ontario CANADA, April 30, 2012 /FSC/ - Alexander Nubia International Inc. (AAN - TSX Venture), is pleased to announce results from a surface-trenching program at its Hamama gold-zinc volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) property in Egypt.  Hamama is located near excellent infrastructure:  32 kilometres from a highway, railway, and high-capacity electricity grid, and 90 kilometres from a major city, Qena, on the Nile River.  The Hamama Project is 35 kilometres from the company's Abu Marawat gold-copper vein deposit.

As announced on March 26, 2012, trenching in the Central zone outlined a 640 m long zone (trenches 18 through 25). Recent trenching of the surface trace of drill holes AHA-008, 009 and 011 fills the transition gap between the Central and Eastern Zones. Trench results 29 - 32 extend the Eastern VMS 175 m for a total of 500+ m.

Alexander Massoud, Chief Executive Officer, commented "The broad extent of high-grade gold, silver, and related zinc values at surface in the Central and Eastern Zone is an exciting and highly significant discovery that greatly enhances the potential of the Hamama property. We have increased the strike length of the main VMS horizon beyond 3.2 kilometres and visually flag zones of interest north of the Main VMS.  Our next step is to conduct deep channel sampling especially in areas where VMS lenses out crop, in areas of intense alteration, and to conduct an electro-magnetic survey shortly."

Highlights

* Central VMS Zone - the Central VMS zone extends for 640 m along strike and recent trench results suggest the zone is wider than previously indicated, up to 48 m wide, and an indicated vertical range of 100 m above the drill hole collars.

*  Eastern VMS Zone - The Eastern zone was extended 175 m (trench 29 through 32) for a total length of 500 m.  Drill hole AHA-011 was collared in a dacite intrusive and returned no VMS material.  The surface trace indicates a 28 m wide VMS horizon grading at 1.02 g/t gold, 40.3 g/t silver, 0.09% copper and 1.91% zinc and an indicated vertical range of 70 m above the drill hole collar.

* Trench 57 has confirmed a 500 m long stringer zone north west of the Central and Eastern zone and returned moderately to highly anomalous values in copper, and zinc gold.  A zone adjacent to Trench 57 contained abundant visible malachite (copper carbonate); this broad zone has been flagged for deep channel sampling.

* Trench 46, is a 78 m long cross-cut grading at 0.26 g/t gold, 9.4 g/t silver, 0.08% copper, and 1.37% zinc.  It is located at the base of the hill perpendicular to trenches 24 and 25 and near the collars of drill holes AHA-009 and AHA-010.

Other VMS deposits in the Arabian-Nubian shield (a mineralized belt that extends into Saudi Arabia and from Egypt to Eritrea) that either are in production or at an advanced stage of exploration include:

* Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX: ABX) - Jabal Sayid (Saudi Arabia)

* La Mancha Resources Inc. (TSX: LMA) - Hassai deposit (Sudan)

* Tigray Resources Inc. (TSX.V: TIG) - Harvest deposit (Ethiopia)

* Nevsun Resources (TSX:NSU) - Bisha deposit (Eritrea)

Qualifying Person

The technical information contained in this news release was prepared or reviewed under the direct supervision of Mr. Ralph Gonzalez (P.Geo.), Alexander Nubia Inc.'s Project Manager for exploration in Egypt.  Mr. Gonzalez is a qualifying person under National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects ("NI 43-101").

QA/QC

Alexander Nubia employs an on-site sample preparation facility where core is diamond sawed into two equal halves; and one half of the core is returned to its core box for permanent, on-site storage and the other half, weighing approximately 2 kilograms, is crushed to minus 5 mm and riffle split to 500 g.  The 500 g sample is pulverized to a nominal -75 mesh and divided into two halves.  One half is delivered to the Egyptian Mineral Resource Authority for storage and the other half is shipped for analysis to the ALS Minerals laboratory in Romania.  ALS Minerals is an internationally recognized and accredited analytical facility.  ALS re-pulverizes all samples to insure the samples are homogenized and removes a one-assay/ton cut (approximately 30 grams) for gold analysis followed by an atomic absorption finish using industry accepted fire-assaying techniques.  In addition, a 5-10 g sample is removed for Ag-Cu-Zn analysis by atomic absorption after digestion in aqua regia.  Over-range copper (>10,000 ppm), zinc (>10,000 ppm) and silver (>100 ppm) are re-analyzed using readjusted atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) techniques.  Selected samples are determined by inductively coupled plasma spectrometry - atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) after a four-acid digestion for 'near total' digestion.  This technique scans a total of 33 elements.  A quality control program consisting of blanks and analytical control standards has been implemented to monitor laboratory performance; this is in addition to ALS's internal QA/QC program.  Discrepancies have been few, and when discovered, the 'laboratory batch' (usually 20 samples in a batch) is re-analyzed.
