Toronto, Ontario CANADA, February 16, 2012 /FSC/ - Alexander Nubia International Inc. (AAN - TSX Venture),an exploration and development company with diversified minerals projects in Egypt, is pleased to announce results from an initial diamond drilling program at its Hamama Property, located 35 kilometres from the flagship Abu Marawat Property.  Eleven drill holes were completed for a total of 1,185 metres.

"We are extremely pleased by these results", said Alexander Massoud, President and CEO of Alexander Nubia Inc.  "The initial drill program establishes Hamama as a VMS deposit; such deposits are significant producers of precious and base-metals within the Nubian Shield - a mineralized belt extending from Egypt to Eritrea.  By advancing both the Abu Marawat and Hamama Properties, Alexander Nubia is positioned as the most advanced exploration play in Egypt."

* No significant mineralization in AHA-002 and AHA-007. AHA-010 encountered high-grade stringer mineralization from 4.0 - 19.9 m before entering the andesite intrusion and continued in the intrusion until the HW sedimentary rocks at 55.7 m.  AHA-011 began in the andesite intrusion, which contains a zone of andesite lapilli tuff with inclusions of felsite from 44.8 - 63.1 m.  Just beyond the inclusion, back in andesite intrusion, are two anomalous Au values from 64.0 - 65.0 m, and from 68.0 - 69.0 m. The sedimentary contact is at 76.6 m.

Summary of the Drilling Program at Hamama

The drilling program tested two, 200-metre-long blocks in the central portion of a 3,000-metre-long outcropping VMS horizon.  Most of the holes were collared in the Zn-rich, footwall stringer zone in highly altered andesite volcanic rocks, which is stratigraphically beneath the VMS horizon.  The VMS horizon consists of ankerite-quartz-rich exhalite and scattered intervals of semi-massive sulphides.  Both of these zones contain high values of zinc with lesser values in copper, gold and silver.  In VMS deposits, sulphide-bearing ankerite-quartz-rich exhalite typically is formed on the flanks of massive sulphide bodies.  Because high-grade zinc values are present in exhalite and semi-massive intervals, the VMS model suggests that still higher-grade material will be present in such massive sulphide zones.

* Drilling confirms a structurally overturned VMS deposit

* Fence of three holes (AHA-003, AHA-004, and AHA-005) demonstrates down-dip continuity of VMS horizon to 125 m below the outcropping surface

* Drill holes were collared in stringer zone material and many returned moderate to high anomalous values in zinc and a few holes were moderately anomalous in gold, silver, and copper

* The VMS strike length of 3,000 metres and associated footwall stringer zones up to 425 metres thick further adds evidence of a potential extensive system

* Widely distributed sphalerite in ankerite-quartz-rich exhalite suggests drilling tested a limited portion of a larger system and the drill holes are distal to massive sulphide pools

On-going and near-term results

Upcoming results and exploration at Hamama include:

* Results of trench sampling program to identify other VMS zones and targets

* Continued sampling and mapping program to determine the extent of the favourable VMS horizon beyond the currently known 3,000-metre-long strike-length

* A geophysical program followed by target selection and drill testing

* Diamond drilling to explore extensions of known zones of mineralization.

Upcoming results at the Abu Marawat Property include:

* Property-first NI 43-101-compliant resource estimate

* Interpretation and assay results for diamond drill holes AAM-072 through AAM-081

Qualifying Person

The technical information contained in this News Release was prepared or reviewed under the direct supervision of Mr. Ralph Gonzalez (P.Geo.), Alexander Nubia Inc's Project Manager for exploration on the Company's two Concession in Egypt.  Mr. Gonzalez is a qualifying person under National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects ("NI 43-101").

Alexander Nubia employs an on-site sample preparation facility where core is diamond sawed into two equal halves; and one half of the core is returned to its core box for permanent, on-site storage and the other half, weighing approximately 2 kilograms, is crushed to minus 5 mm and riffle split to 500 g.  The 500 g sample is pulverized to a nominal -75 mesh and divided into two halves.  One half is delivered to the Egyptian Mineral Resource Authority for storage and the other half is shipped for analysis to the ALS Minerals laboratory in Romania.  ALS Minerals is an internationally recognized and accredited analytical facility.  ALS re-pulverizes all samples to insure the samples are homogenized and removes a one-assay/ton cut (approximately 30 grams) for gold analysis followed by an atomic absorption finish.  using industry accepted fire assaying techniques.  In addition, a 5-10 g sample is removed for Ag-Cu-Zn analysis by atomic absorption after digestion in aqua regia.  Over-range copper (>10,000 ppm), zinc (>10,000 ppm) and silver (>100 ppm) are re-analyzed using readjusted atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) techniques.  Selected samples are determined by inductively coupled plasma spectrometry - atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) after a four acid digestion for 'near total' digestion.  This technique scans a total of 33 elements.  A quality control program consisting of blanks and analytical control standards has been implemented to monitor laboratory performance; this is in addition to ALS's internal QA/QC program.  Discrepancies have been few, and when discovered, the 'laboratory batch' (usually 20 samples in a batch) is re-analyzed.
