[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTORONTO, Jan. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Roxmark Mines Limited (TSXV - RMK) today\nannounced that its 2009 field program, including a minimum of 5,000 metres of\ndiamond drilling, will concentrate on proving additional gold resources at its\nNorthern Empire Gold Mine and Nortoba-Tyson properties, both of which are on\nthe doorstep of the Company's Northern Empire mill, located in Beardmore,\nOntario.\n\n\nFurther details of the Beardmore Camp program, which will also include\ngeological mapping, channel sampling and other surface work, is awaiting\ninterpretation of a recent High-Resolution Aeromagnetic (HRAM) Survey\ncompleted by Firefly Airborne Surveys on Roxmark's Northern Empire Gold Mine,\nNortoba-Tyson and Key Lake properties. A total of 1,983 line-km of airborne\nmagnetic survey with a spacing of 50 metres was covered by fixed wing aircraft\nand G-822A Cesium Magnetometer. Based on preliminary results, the survey has\noutlined several anomalies that warrant follow-up using knowledge gained from\nprevious drilling. A further announcement will be made when the data is\navailable.\n\n\nThe 2009 field program will be funded by $1.35 million in flow-through\nfinancing generated late last year.\n\n\nRoxmark previously issued an NI 43-101 compliant technical report by\nindependent geologist Peter Bevan dated November 2008 which outlined 86,652\ntonnes grading 10.70g.Au/t containing 29,807 ounces of Indicated Gold\nResources; and 64,748 tonnes grading 9.95g.Au/t containing 20,719 ounces of\nInferred Gold Resources, at shallow depths over a limited drilled strike\nlength of the Contact and Power Zones. The Company's news releases of October\n2 and November 14, 2008 describe both resources and potential in detail.\n\n\nOnly the top 100 metres have been drill tested at the Contact Zone, in a\nsystem known to host good gold mineralization to a depth of more than 600\nmetres. According to the report, historical production on veins that were open\nat depths of 2,075 feet provides conceptual evidence that substantial\nadditional potential exists in the Contact Zone and parallel structures far\nbelow the diabase sill. Peter Bevan, P. Eng., consulting geologist is the\nqualified person under NI 43-101.\n\n\n"We remain convinced that early underground development at the Northern\nEmpire will be economically attractive," said Moni...
