[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, April 6 /CNW/ - Argentex Mining Corporation (TSX-V: ATX,\nOTCBB: AGXM) is pleased to announce additional results from the 2008 drill\nprogram at its polymetallic Pinguino property in Santa Cruz, Argentina. The\nlatest findings include assays from 13 new drill holes testing four separate\nmineralized zones, including a 2.5-meter (8.2-foot) intersection that contains\n5.32 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 29 g/t silver and 1.5% combined lead-zinc. A\ndeeper hole drilled in the same vein returned 4.96 meters (16.2 feet) grading\n2.17 g/t gold, 314 g/t silver, 2.13% lead and 4.76% zinc. A relatively\nuntested vein, Marta Noroeste, returned 1.35 meters (4.41 feet) grading 6.99\ng/t gold and 773.5 g/t silver.\n\n\nAdditional findings include overlimit zinc results and previously\nreported high-grade gold samples that have been re-assayed using a metallic\nscreen technique to confirm the presence of native gold.\n\n\n"There are a number of intersections with significant silver and gold\nvalues within the 15 mineralized zones drill tested to date at Pinguino," said\nKen Hicks, President of Argentex. "Several intersections returned significant\ngold values that have since been reanalyzed using a metallic screen, which\nprovides a more accurate determination of gold values when there is native\ngold present. The two distinct styles of mineralization at Pinguino, which\ncontain precious metals and base metals enriched with indium, continue to\nexpand the overall mineral potential at Pinguino."\n\n\nArgentex has now received and compiled the majority of its analytical\nresults from the 2008 program at Pinguino. According to Acme Labs, the last\nset of results for the Pinguino project should be ready within approximately\ntwo weeks. At that time, the company intends to transfer its complete dataset\nof analytical results, drill hole logs, surface geochemistry, geophysics,\ncore-specific gravity measurements and preliminary mineralogical studies to an\nindependent engineering firm for the purpose of beginning Argentex's\nfirst-ever National Instrument 43-101-compliant resource calculation, which is\nscheduled for completion during Q2 2009.\n\n\nResults\n\n\nThe following table displays analytical results for 13 new diamond drill\nholes, including seven from the Marta Este zone of the property, two from\nMarta...
