[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n Rule 2.10 Announcement\n \n \n\n \n Amlin Plc\n \n \n\n \n \n \n 27 January 2016\n \n \n Amlin plc (the “Companyâ€)\n \n \n Rule 2.10 Announcement\n \n \n In accordance with Rule 2.10 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers \n (the “Codeâ€), the Company confirms that the following number of \n ordinary shares were issued by the Company to satisfy the exercise and \n vesting of awards under the Company’s share option schemes in connection \n with the recommended cash offer for the entire issued and to be issued \n share capital of the Company by Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, \n Limited.\n \n \n 1,527,436 ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each.\n \n \n It had 507,704,487 ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each with ISIN number \n GB00B2988H17 (the “Sharesâ€) in issue as at the date of this \n announcement.\n \n \n The total number of Shares attracting voting rights in the Company is \n 507,704,487.\n \n \n The above figure may be used by shareholders to determine the percentage \n of issued share capital they hold in the Company and if they are \n required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, \n the Company under the FCA’s Disclosure and Transparency Rules.\n \n \n Contact:\n \n \n Mark Stevens\n \n \n Company Secretary\n \n \n Amlin plc\n \n \n 020 7746 1000\n \n \n Disclosure requirements of the Code\n \n \n Under Rule 8.3(a) of the Code, any person who is interested in 1% or \n more of any class of relevant securities of an offeree company or of any \n securities exchange offeror (being any offeror other than an offeror in \n respect of which it has been announced that its offer is, or is likely \n to be, solely in cash) must make an Opening Position Disclosure \n following the commencement of the offer period and, if later, following \n the announcement in which any securities exchange offeror is first \n identified.
