[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n21 September 2023\n \nASOS appoints new Non-Executive Director\n \nASOS plc (\"ASOS\" or the \"Company\") is pleased to announce the appointment of William Barker as Non-Executive Director.\n \nWilliam is the founder and CEO of Camelot Capital Partners LLC (\"Camelot Partners\"), a California-based investment management company. William is also the Executive Chairman of Tapi Carpets & Floors, Executive Chairman of Synnovia, a UK manufacturing conglomerate and is also a founding investor and board member of Re:Build Manufacturing. Previously William was an advisor to Tony Hsieh, the founder of Zappos.\n \nCamelot Partners holds 16,722,381 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 14.02% of the Company's issued share capital. Given William's relationship with Camelot Partners., a significant shareholder, in accordance with the UK Corporate Governance Code 2018 William joins the Board as a Non-Independent Non-executive Director.\n \nJørgen Lindemann, ASOS Chairman, said: \n \n\"ASOS has a long-standing relationship with William as shareholder and strong supporter of the company, and I am delighted that William has now agreed to join the Board. He brings a wealth of retail and commercial experience alongside a deep knowledge and understanding of the ASOS business.
