ATN Adopts Quarterly Dividend Policy Commencing in 2012

TORONTO, Dec. 1, 2011 /CNW/ -  Asian Television Network International Limited (ATN) (TSX: SAT),

The Company is please to announce that the Company's board of directors has adopted a regular quarterly dividend policy commencing in 2012:

For the 2012 calendar year, a regular quarterly dividend of $0.02 per share to be paid on each common share of the Company on January 31st, April 30th, July 31st and October 31st 2012.

For the 2013 calendar year and subsequent years, a regular quarterly dividend equal to one quarter of 40% of the Company's earnings per common share for the immediately prior fiscal year (and rounded to the nearest cent ) to be paid on each common share of the company, on January 31st, April 30th, July 31st and October 31st 2013.

The record date to determine those shareholders entitled to receive a dividend payment will be set in accordance with the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange, and will be announced in advance of each payment date;

The dividend policy will be reviewed periodically by the board of directors of the Company. The board of directors has the sole discretion to declare and to adjust or eliminate dividends based on relevant considerations, including the Company's need to retain capital to support its stability and growth, and compliance with applicable laws.

This is a new phase for us and it is nice to add the word 'dividend' to the ATN vocabulary,' observed Dr. Shan Chandrasekar, President and CEO of ATN and went on to say 'We take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to the ATN shareholders who have stayed on board with us and also to our hard working staff who have brought us through some very challenging and yet no less interesting times', he observed.
