The Placing represents 3.4% of the outstanding issued share capital\nof Ashmore. Goldman Sachs International ('Goldman Sachs') and UBS Limited\n('UBS') acted as joint global co-ordinators and bookrunners.\n\n\nThe Placing was priced at 240p per Ashmore ordinary share.\n\nMembers of the public are not eligible to take part in the Placing. In the\nUnited Kingdom, this announcement, in so far as it constitutes an invitation or\ninducement to participate in the Placing, is directed exclusively at persons\nwhose ordinary activities involve them in acquiring, holding managing, and\ndisposing of investments (as principal or agent) for the purposes of their\nbusiness and who have professional experience in matters relating to investments\nand who are qualified investors as defined in section 86(7) of the Financial\nServices and Markets Act 2000 ('FSMA') or are persons falling within Article 19\n(5) of the Financial Services and Markets Act (Financial Promotion) Order 2005,\nas amended (the 'Order') or persons falling within Article 49(2)(a) to (d) '\nHigh net worth companies, unincorporated associations, etc') of the order (all\nsuch persons being referred to as 'Relevant Persons').
