[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n \n30 July 2025\nAscent Resources plc\n(\"Ascent\" or the \"Company\")\n \nAscent Resources Plc (LON: AST), the onshore US focused oil & gas company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jean-Michel Doublet as Independent Non-Executive Chairman and Mr David Patterson as an Executive Director with immediate effect.\nJean-Michel was initially appointed to the Board on 21 November 2023 as an independent Non-Executive Director and since 22 May 2025 has held the position of Interim-Chairman.\nThe Company is also pleased to announce that, further to the announcements on 22 May 2025 and 9 July 2025, David Patterson, CEO of the Company, has been appointed as an Executive Director to the Board with immediate effect, following the completion of standard regulatory checks.\nDavid is an experienced oil and gas explorer and geologist with over 43 years oil and gas experience onshore US, including several years in Utah and Colorado, most notably as VP Geology for Rose Petroleum Plc (now called Zephyr Energy Plc) where he led the evaluation of over 250,000 acres of leases in Utah. David held previous roles, including VP and manager of Exploration, VP of Geology, Supervisor of Reserves and Senior Geological Engineer, through his career and is based in Colorado.\nThe following information is disclosed in accordance with Rule 17 and paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules for Companies in connection with the appointment of David Patterson, aged 66, to the Board of the Company.\n\n\n\n\nCurrent Directorships\n\n\nPast Directorships\n\n\n\n\nStrike Exploration LLC\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNavarro Energy\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere are no other matters under paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules to be disclosed.\nJean-Michel Doublet, Chairman commented:\n\"We are delighted that David is joining the Board, as CEO and Executive Director.
