(TSX: GCM) is\n pleased to announce drill results from an initial 12 drill holes from\n its exploration and in-fill drilling program at the Company's El\n Zancudo Project in Colombia.  Drilling to date has returned high-grade\n gold and silver mineralization over a strike of some 450 metres and dip\n length of 170 metres on the newly discovered Santa Catalina vein, which\n is open in all directions.  These drill holes are part of a 12,000\n metre drilling program, which is focussed on defining new potential\n resources by following the strike and shallow dip extensions of the\n Santa Catalina vein that occurs to the west of the historical\n Independencia Mine.\n\n\nMaria Consuelo Araujo, Chief Executive Officer of Gran Colombia Gold,\n commented: \"We are very pleased with the consistently good results from\n this drilling program.  These results demonstrate high-grade gold and\n silver mineralization over a significant strike length of the newly\n discovered Santa Catalina Vein and confirm this new discovery as a\n potential mineral resource for the El Zancudo Project.\"\n\n\nThis drilling program commenced in April 2011 and finished in early June\n 2012.
