[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n\n\n10 November 2009\nAIM / PLUS Markets: AAU\n\n TRENCH RESULTS AT THE SALINBAS PROSPECT\n\nAriana Resources plc (\"the Company\"), the gold exploration and\ndevelopment company focused on Turkey, is pleased to announce the\nresults of trenching undertaken on the Salinbas prospect which is\npart of the Ardala mineralised system.\n\nHighlights\n\n* 33m at 9.6 g/t Au and 46m at 8.3 g/t Au\n\n* Further potential along strike and at depth\n\n* Drilling underway\n\nDr. Kerim Sener, Managing Director, commented:\n\n\"The results of the initial trenches undertaken on the Salinbas\nprospect highlight the potential of the broader Ardala mineral system\nto yield multiple zones of high-grade mineralisation located along\ndiscrete structural corridors which had been overlooked by previous\nexplorers. The Joint Venture team has been successful in identifying\nthese zones and in conducting a rapid and successful programme of\nfollow-up. We now look forward to the results of our drilling\nprogramme.\"\n\nDetails of Programme\n\nOn the Ardala Project, mapping and sampling has confirmed that\nporphyry mineralisation continues to the south of the previously\nrecognised outcrops, and this additional extension increases the size\npotential of the Ardala porphyry system.\n\nA high-grade gold zone has also been identified at Salinbas, located\nsome 3km to the southwest of the Ardala porphyry.
