[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n\n\n\n18 May 2010\nAIM / PLUS Markets: AAU\n\n RC DRILLING TO COMMENCE ON KIZILTEPE\n\nAriana Resources plc (\"Ariana\" or \"the Company\"), the gold exploration and\ndevelopment company focused on Turkey is pleased to provide an update on its\nactivities at the Red Rabbit Project.  A Reverse Circulation (RC) resource\ndrilling programme is to commence immediately on the Banu and Derya veins.\n Initial results from the first phase of exploration drilling of vein extensions\nand geophysical target areas defined on the Kiziltepe Prospect are also\npresented.\n\nHighlights\n\n * 2,000m Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling programme to commence\n\n\n * Positive results from drill-testing of the extensions of the Arzu vein\n system beneath cover\n\n\n * Intercepts include 4m @ 2.88 g/t Au equiv., 19m @ 1.44 g/t Au equiv.\n\n\n\nDr. Kerim Sener, Managing Director, commented:\n\n\"We are pleased to announce the commencement of our planned Reverse Circulation\n(RC) drilling programme on the Banu and Derya veins at the Kiziltepe deposit.\n This 2,000m RC programme has been devised to enable conversion of current\nresources on these veins from the Inferred to Indicated category.  This\nprogramme is being initiated in advance of formal Joint Venture completion to\nensure project development remains on schedule.\n\nWe are also pleased to report initial results of the Rotary Air Blast (RAB)\ndrilling programme which tested probable buried vein extensions of the Arzu\nstructure.  The RAB programme has now defined buried veins in two out of three\ntarget areas and we consider these results to be highly significant for the\nfurther growth of the Kiziltepe resource.\"\n\nDrilling Programme\n\nApproximately 2,000 m of RC drilling has been planned on the Banu and Derya\nveins at the Kiziltepe deposit.  This programme is due to commence on 19th May\n2010 and has been designed to aid the conversion of JORC Inferred resources to\nIndicated status.  It is expected that this programme will run for approximately\ntwo weeks, following which the results of this programme will be integrated with\na new mineral resource estimate which is already underway.\n\nOn the 25th March 2010 the Company announced that it had received results from\nan extended geophysical programme at Kiziltepe.  Following the process...
