The results of these\ntests keep open the full range of options for the processing of material from\nKiziltepe. A scoping study on potential mining and treatment options will be\naddressed following an upcoming RC drilling program which aims to extend and\nupgrade the existing resource.\n\n\nHighlights\n\n\n •Mineralisation is amenable to both carbon-in-leach and heap-leach\n processing options\n\n\n •Carbon-in-leach simulation tests yielded gold and silver recoveries of\n 92-98% and 87-92% respectively\n\n\n •Heap-leach simulation tests yielded gold and silver extraction levels of\n up to 81-90% and 65-77% respectively\n\n\n •Ball mill grindability determined a bond work index of 14.2-15.8 kWh/\n tonne\n\n\nDr. Kerim Sener, Managing Director, commented:\n\n\n'These metallurgical results are extremely encouraging and compare very\nfavourably with those obtained from similar deposits in Turkey which are already\nin production. The results indicate that all of our options for processing of\nmaterial from Kiziltepe remain open. We are evaluating strategies for the\nfurther development of the deposit, with on site processing via heap-leach or\ntoll-treatment at an existing carbon-in-leach processing facility under\ninvestigation.'\n\n\n'We are now undertaking the groundwork required for our scoping study and making\npreparations for trial mining of the Arzu vein at Kiziltepe. The scoping study\nwill utilise various data, including these metallurgical test results, to\ndetermine the optimal route for the economic development of the Kiziltepe\nprospect. Preparations are also underway for further resource definition\ndrilling at several veins on the prospect, with the aim of increasing and\nrefining our existing resource.'\n\n\nTestwork Summary\n\n\nMetallurgical testwork was undertaken on four composite samples of mineralised\nmaterial sent to the SGS Lakefield laboratory in Canada.
