[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n\n\n\n25th March 2010\nAIM / PLUS Markets: AAU\n\n GEOPHYSICAL RESULTS: NEW EXPLORATION TARGETS AT KIZILTEPE\n\nAriana Resources plc (\"Ariana\" or \"the Company\"), the gold exploration and\ndevelopment company focused on Turkey is pleased to announce the results of a\ngeophysical programme undertaken on the Kiziltepe Gold Prospect.  The programme\nhas successfully confirmed the presence of several potential vein systems in the\nnorthern half of the prospect area.\n\nHighlights\n\n * Several resistivity and chargeability anomalies, which may coincide with\n buried vein systems, located to the northeast of the Arzu South vein.\n\n\n * One significant new anomaly coincides directly with an area of extensive\n quartz vein float from which grades of up to 21.1 g/t Au have been\n recorded.\n\n\n * Significant additional exploration upside defined on the prospect.\n\n\n * Exploratory drilling programme to commence within days.\n\n\n\nDr. Kerim Sener, Managing Director, commented:\n\n\"These geophysical results coupled with systematic sampling have demonstrated\nthe potential for further significant veins to be discovered at the Kiziltepe\nprospect.  These geophysical anomalies will be targeted by exploration drilling.\n The first phase of this drilling is due to commence over the weekend (27/28\nMarch) and its aim will be to confirm the presence of these buried vein systems\nor their associated alteration.  There is clear potential at the prospect to\nincrease the current mineral resource and to further enhance the economics of\nthe project.\"\n\nGeophysical Programme\n\nThe geophysical programme described here was undertaken over a 2km2 area\ncovering the northern half of the Kiziltepe vein field in an area where no veins\nappear in surface outcrop.  Detailed mapping of the area had previously\nidentified the potential for buried vein systems and sampling of one area of\nextensive quartz sub-crop outlined grades of up to 21.1 g/t Au in composite\nrock-chip sampling of float material.\n\nData was collected from nine northeast-southwest oriented Induced Polarisation\n(IP) / resistivity profiles, which were spaced 180-230m apart and designed to\ncoincide directly with existing geochemical data lines (total length surveyed is\napprox. 12km).  A pole-dipole array was used with 30m or 60m electro...
