[{"type":"text","content":"\n Ardana PLC\n19 December 2006\n\n\n\n ARDANA ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF INVICORPTM\n\n IN DENMARK FOR ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION\n\n\n\n\n\nEdinburgh, UK, 19 December 2006; Ardana plc (LSE:ARA), announces today that\nInvicorpTM its injectable treatment for erectile dysfunction is now available\nfor sale in Denmark.\n\n\n\nInvicorpTM is a combination of phentolamine mesylate and vasoactive intestinal\npolypeptide and is delivered by self-administered penile injection for the\ntreatment of moderate to severe erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction is\nmale impotence resulting from an inability to have or maintain an erection\nsufficient for penetration during coitus. It is estimated that 52 per cent of\nmen over the age of 40 suffer at some time from erectile dysfunction and many of\nthem are unsuitable for treatment with existing oral therapies1.\n\n\n\nDr. Maureen Lindsay, Chief Executive of Ardana, said:\n\n\n\n'We are delighted to announce the launch of InvicorpTM in Denmark today our\nthird marketed product in Europe and an important step in our programme for\ndeveloping our portfolio. InvicorpTM represents a new injectable treatment\noption for patients who currently have limited non- oral therapies for this\ncondition.
