[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n \n Ortac Resources Limited 21 October 2013 \n \n\n21 October 2013\n \nOrtac Resources Ltd ('Ortac' or 'the Company')\nSubmission of Preliminary Environmental Report ('PER')\n \nOrtac Resources Ltd, the AIM listed exploration and development company focussed on natural resource based projects in Europe, is pleased to announce the submission of a Preliminary Environmental Report to the Regional Environmental Office in Banská Štiavnica in support of its proposed application for underground mining at the Šturec deposit near Kremnica in Slovakia.\n \nThis application is in addition to an existing surface mining application currently going through the environmental consideration process and if approved, the mining and processing activities would enable the company to satisfy its obligations under the terms of the mining licence area and also enable it to continue working with the community on the Šturecland concept. More information on this application is available at the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic enviroportal:\n(http://www.enviroportal.sk/sk/eia/detail/tazba-drahokovovych-rud-na-lozisku-sturec-v-kremnici-podzemie). \n \nThe PER was submitted to the Regional Environmental Office and will now undergo rigorous examination to ensure that it meets all environmental laws and the requirements of the Mining Bureau. The approval process also includes a public consultation stage during which local stakeholders will have a chance to voice their opinions on the proposed mining and processing activities.\n \nThe decision to submit the PER including details of the proposed activities was announced locally through Ortac's information leaflet \"Ortac Info\" that is circulated within the local communities surrounding the Šturec deposit.\n \nThe proposal is to mine 1,000 tonnes per year (trial mining) of high-grade gold and silver ores from the existing underground development.
