[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n \n RNS Number : 0390T\n Aquila European Renewables Income\n 22 November 2021\n \n \n \n \n 22 November 2021\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Aquila European Renewables Income Fund awarded 4-star GRESB Green Rating\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Aquila European Renewables Income Fund PLC ('AERIF') t\n oday announced the results of its\n first annual GRESB Assessment for 2021. \n \n \n \n \n \n The \n \n \n GRESB Assessment\n \n \n is an objective \n investor-driven global ESG benchmark\n \n and reporting framework assessing the performance\n of \n real estate and infrastructure funds, companies, and assets. The results provide investors with \n standardised\n data to help evaluate complex sustainability issues. \n GRESB is an important industry benchmark as it can \n help to protect shareholder value by evaluating and improving the sustainability performance of real assets\n , on a\n sset level (operating assets only) and portfolio level.\n \n \n \n \n \n In \n its first year of participating in the GRESB assessment,\n \n AERIF achieved a four out of a five-star rating\n . W\n ith an overall GRESB Score of 84 the fund scores above the GRESB average of 77 points.\n \n \n \n \n \n At portfolio level, the rating shows a particularly strong performance in Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership compared to the peer group. At asset level, meanwhile, the rating recognises AERIF's strong policy frameworks as well as its performance in resource and emission management including water, Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Energy. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ian Nolan, chair of Aquila European Renewables Income Fund PLC, said: \"Given the high importance of this global assessment, we are pleased to have been awarded a \n \n \n 4-star GRESB rating in our first year of participation\n \n \n .
