[{"type":"text","content":"\nDemonstrates a statistically significant reduction in adverse events associated with the use of Renuvion following liposuction or body contouring, compared to the competing technology\n\n\n CLEARWATER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--\nApyx Medical Corporation (NASDAQ:APYX) (“Apyx Medical”; the “Company”), the manufacturer of a proprietary helium plasma and radiofrequency platform technology marketed and sold as Renuvion®, today announced the publication of a peer-reviewed article in the journal, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery—Global Open, featuring the results of study which compared the use of Renuvion’s Helium Plasma Technology to InMode’s Bipolar RF System (“Bipolar RF”) following liposuction or body contouring procedures.\n\n\nIn this retrospective, single-center, contiguous series study, researchers Michael Kluska, DO et al. collected demographic, procedure and safety data from more than 450 patients who underwent treatment with either Renuvion (n=229) or Bipolar RF (n=236) following liposuction or body contouring procedures. The demographic characteristics of both groups exhibited similarity in terms of age, sex, BMI and tobacco usage.\n\n\nThe researchers analyzed adverse events documented during and post-procedure by body area for both groups.
