[{"type":"text","content":"\n Antofagasta PLC\n10 April 2008\n\n\n\n Antofagasta plc\n\n Annual Report and Financial Statements and Notice of AGM and Class Meetings\n\nLondon, 10 April 2008\n\nAntofagasta plc (the 'Company') will post today its 2007 annual report and\nfinancial statements (the 'Annual Report and Financial Statements') and notice\nof the Annual General Meeting and Class Meetings of the Company ('Notice of\nMeetings') to shareholders.\n\nThe meetings to which the Notice of Meetings relate are to be held at Church\nHouse Conference Centre, Dean's Yard, Westminster, London SW1P 3NZ on 11 June\n2008 from 10.30a.m.\n\nIn compliance with Listing Rule 9.6.1, the Company has submitted to the\nFinancial Services Authority two copies of each of the following documents:\n\n\n • Annual Report and Financial Statements;\n\n • Notice of Annual General Meeting and Class Meetings;\n\n • Form of Proxy for Ordinary Shareholders for Annual General Meeting;\n\n • Form of Proxy for Preference Shareholders for Annual General Meeting;\n\n • Form of Proxy for Ordinary Shareholders for Class Meeting;\n\n • Form of Proxy for Preference Shareholders for Class Meeting; and\n\n • Letter to Shareholders regarding Electronic Communications.\n\nThe Notice of Meetings includes resolutions to adopt new articles of\nassociation. Accordingly, the Company has also submitted the proposed new\narticles of association to the Financial Services Authority in compliance with\nthe Disclosure Rule and Transparency Rule 6.1.2.\n\nThese documents will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing\nAuthority's Document Viewing Facility, which is situated at Financial Services\nAuthority, 25 The North Colonnade, London E14 5HS.
