[{"type":"text","content":"\n Anglo Asian Mining PLC\n16 November 2006\n\n\n\n16 November 2006\n\n\n\n ANGLO ASIAN MINING PLC\n ('Anglo Asian' or 'the Company')\n\n\n GEDABEK DRILLING UPDATE\n\n\n\nAnglo Asian Mining PLC (AIM: AAZ), the gold and copper development company with\nprojects in Azerbaijan, today issues the following update on its Gedabek\ndrilling programme:\n\n\n\nThe Company is progressing towards the completion of a scoping study on its\nGedabek gold, copper and silver project in north-west Azerbaijan and a resource\nestimate is being prepared for release at the end of November. Since the last\npress release on 24 August, 2006 the Company has received the results from a\nfurther 74 drill-holes which have been drilled primarily to delineate a resource\ncompliant with JORC guidelines at Gedabek.\n\n\n\nThe latest results confirm the continuity of mineralisation and consistency in\ngrade previously reported. Furthermore, similar style mineralisation has been\nintersected some 400 metres north of the main deposit, highlighting the\npotential to expand the resource in the future.\n\n\n\nDetailed in the table below are the best intercepts encountered from the latest\ndrilling.
