[{"type":"text","content":"\n Aminex PLC\n07 August 2007\n\n\n\nFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE\n\n\n7 August 2007\n\n Aminex PLC (\"Aminex\" or \"the Company\")\n\n Rig Update\n\n\nAminex PLC (\"Aminex\" or the \"Company\") provides the following update on its\nforthcoming drilling operations in Tanzania:\n\nAs previously announced, the Caroil-6 drilling rig, for which Aminex and\npartners have a contract to drill two exploration wells on the Nyuni licence\noffshore Tanzania, experienced delays due to the need for remedial work and\nupgrading. The Caroil-6 rig is currently on location in the adjoining\nSongo-Songo gas field working for Pan-African Tanzania Ltd.\n\nCurrent information is that remedial work to the rig will be completed by\nmid-August following which it will complete its work at Songo-Songo. It is\nanticipated that the rig will be delivered to the Nyuni partners in late\nSeptember and will be ready to spud Kiliwani-1, first of two locations in the\ncurrent Nyuni programme, in the first half of October.\n\nAminex Chairman Brian Hall commented: \"Frustrating as this delay has become, we\nhave used the time well to fine-tune our operational procedures, materials\nprocurement and supporting contracts. The delay is outside our control but we\nmay be confident that the rig, once it has passed inspection, will be in first\nclass operational order\".\n\n\nThe Nyuni partners are:\n\nNdovu Resources Ltd.
