[{"type":"text","content":"\n Aminex PLC\n05 November 2007\n\n5 NOVEMBER 2007\n\n\n\n AMINEX PLC\n\n\n\n DELIVERY OF RIG\n\n\n\nAminex PLC, the oil and Gas company listed in Dublin and London (\"Aminex\" or the\n\"Company\") announces that it took delivery of the Caroil Rig-6 drilling unit at\nmidnight on 2 November 2007.\n\n\n\nThe Caroil Rig-6 was handed over to Aminex's wholly-owned subsidiary Ndovu\nResources Ltd., operator for a five company consortium which will drill\nKiliwane-1, the first of two back to back wells on the Nyuni/East Songo-Songo\nlicence offshore Tanzania in the Rufiji River delta. The rig, which has been\nsubstantially upgraded to meet the Company's requirements since it signed a\ndrilling contract with Caroil SA in April this year, has recently drilled a\nsuccessful development well in the neighbouring Songo-Songo gas field operated\nby Pan-African Tanzania Ltd.\n\n\n\nKiliwane-1 will be drilled from the islet of Kiliwane lying approximately one\nkilometre to the south-east of Songo-Songo Island and accessible from\nSongo-Songo via a causeway. It will be a directional well with the selected\nbottom hole location approximately 1,200 metres from the surface location.\nDrilled depth is planned to be approximately 2,500 metres and the target\nlocation is designed to test lower cretaceous sand stones which are the\nreservoirs at the Songo-Songo producing gas field.\n\n\n\nMobilisation to the well site and rig up is estimated to take approximately 2-3\nweeks and a further announcement will be made when the well has been spudded.\n\n\n\nPartners are:\n\n\nNdovu Resources Ltd.
