[{"type":"text","content":"\n Aminex PLC\n01 August 2007\n\n\nFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE\n\n1 August 2007\n\n\n Aminex PLC (\"Aminex\" or \"the Company\")\n\n Board Changes\n\nAminex PLC, the oil and gas company listed in London and Dublin, announces today\nthat Derek Tughan is stepping down from the role of Chairman with immediate\neffect due to pressing personal commitments. Mr. Tughan will remain on the\nBoard as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.\n\nFor the time being Brian Hall will assume the role of Chairman.\n\nAminex also announces that Didier Murcia, an Executive Director of the Company,\nhas been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Aminex group. As part of his\nduties Mr. Murcia will have responsibility for the company's operated\nexploration programmes in the East African region which include drilling in\nTanzania and onshore seismic surveys in both Tanzania and Madagascar this year.\n\nOther Executive Director positions remain unchanged: Simon Butterfield is Group\nFinance Director, Mike Rego is Exploration Director and Antonio Prado is\nPresident of Aminex USA, Inc.\n\nIn addition to Mr. Tughan the Non-Executive Directors are David Hooker and\nAndrew Hay.
