[{"type":"text","content":"\n Aminex PLC\n21 February 2006\n\n\n21 FEBRUARY 2006\n AMINEX PLC\n\n APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS\n\n\nAminex PLC (\"Aminex\"), the oil and gas company listed in London and Dublin,\ntoday announces the appointment of two directors effective immediately.\n\nMichael Pereira-Rego has been appointed Exploration Director. A geologist, he\njoined Aminex in 1998 as resident manager for Aminex's Dachnoye field in\nTatarstan and then became Exploration Manager for Russia. In 2001, he was\nappointed Aminex Group Exploration manager. Prior to joining Aminex, Mr Rego\nworked for BP and for Lasmo. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society.\n\nAndrew Windham has been appointed a non-executive director. A lawyer by\nprofession, he worked for a number of years for Clyde Petroleum plc where he\nbecame Legal Director and Company Secretary. In recent years, Mr Windham has\nbeen the Commercial Director of Energy Africa Limited and since its takeover by\nTullow Oil plc has acted for that enlarged group as a legal and commercial\nconsultant. He is a non-executive director of Desire Petroleum PLC.\n\nCommenting on this announcement, Peter Elwes, Aminex Chairman, said: \"I am very\npleased to welcome both Michael Rego and Andrew Windham to our Board. Mr Rego\nhas played an important part in the development of our exploration portfolio and\nis a key member of our team.
