[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 1814G Aminex PLC 20 October 2008 \n \nNON-REGULATORY ANNOUNCEMENT\n\n\n\n20 OCTOBER 2008\n\nAMINEX PLC\n\nAPPOINTMENT OF GENERAL MANAGER FOR OPERATIONS\n\nAminex PLC, the oil and gas company listed in London and Dublin (\"Aminex\" or the \"Company\"), announces the appointment of David Warwick as the Company's General Manager for Operations based in its London office.\n \nMr. Warwick has over thirty years' experience in the oil & gas industry. He brings with him significant technical experience in petroleum exploration, ranging from new venture evaluation to prospect development and appraisal and development geology. He spent 15 years at Phillips Petroleum Company (now ConocoPhillips) where he became head of UK exploration with a department of 40 geoscientists. During that time he directed the re-assessment of a major North Sea acreage portfolio, leading to the discovery of two Central North Sea oil fields and to the key discovery well on one of the Armada gas fields. \n\nHe has subsequently held senior positions at Repsol, Sipetrol and most recently Burren Energy, for whom he was General Manager in Egypt. He has managed several exploration ventures in Africa including setting up a joint venture production company in Egypt and managing exploration operations in Algeria. \n\nAminex chairman Brian Hall commented:\n\n\"We are very pleased to welcome David Warwick.
