[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nLAVAL, QC, May 31 /CNW Telbec/ - The board of directors of Amex\nExploration is very pleased to announce the nomination of Mr. Francis\nChartrand, geo, Ph.D. to the position of Vice-President, Exploration,\neffective June 1st, 2007.\n\n\nDr. Chartrand has accumulated almost 30 years experience as a geologist,\nworking in the Province of Quebec and the rest of Canada. Since June of 2006\nhe has been a self-employed consultant for GEOconsult FMC. From 1997 to 2006,\nDr. Chartrand held the position of principal research geologist for SOQUEM\nInc. From 1988 to 1997, Dr. Chartrand was employed by the Ministere des\nRessources naturelles in Val-d'Or, Quebec, initially as head of the\nMetallogeny Division and then as head of the Service geologique du Nord-Ouest.\n\n\nDr. Chartrand is a former president of the Geological Society of the\nCanadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and former director of the Mineral\nDeposits Division of the Geological Association of Canada.\n\n\nDr. Chartrand is a geologist and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from\nConcordia University obtained in 1978 and M.Sc.A and Ph.D. degrees from Ecole\nPolytechnique de Montreal awarded in 1982 and 1987 respectively.
