[{"type":"text","content":"\n Hambledon Mining PLC\n26 April 2006\n\n\n HAMBLEDON MINING PLC\n\n\n Permit received for development of Sekisovskoye\n\n\n Project Update\n\n\nHambledon Mining Plc ('Hambledon'), the AIM-listed mining and exploration\ncompany developing precious metal deposits in Kazakhstan, announces that the\nState Commission for Mineral Reserves of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved\nthe General Resource Estimate of reserves at the central zones of the\nSekisovskoye gold deposit, together with various associated mining parameters as\nsubmitted by Hambledon's 100% owned subsidiary, TOO Sekisovskoye ('Company').\n\n\nHighlights:\n\n\n •General Resource Estimate at Sekisovskoye has been approved by the State\n Commission for Mineral Reserves of the Republic of Kazakhstan\n\n\n •Underground drilling programme of more than 4,000m at Sekisovskoye\n completed - significant new mineralisation identified\n\n\n •Four 45 tonne BelAZ haul trucks delivered to mine site out of an eventual\n total of seven\n\n\n •Two Hitachi Zaxis 850H excavators en route from Vladivostok to the mine\n site; expected to arrive next week\n\n\n •Manufacture of crushers and related equipment substantially complete by\n Shenyang Sanland, China. Delivery expected in mid June\n\n\n •Ball mills under construction by JSC 'Tjazhmash' in Syzran City, Russia,\n for delivery in early June\n\n\n •Renovation of 780 square metres of office, laboratory and kitchen\n facilities at Sekisovskoye now complete. Relocation of staff from Ust\n Kamenogorsk commenced\n\n\n •Recruitment of staff underway: more than 100 employees in place\n\n\n •On schedule to commence mining in June\n\n\n\nNick Bridgen, Chief Executive of Hambledon Mining Plc, commented:\n\n\n'The preparation and submission of the General Resource Estimate involved a\nmassive amount of work by our team of geologists over many months. We have\nreceived the approval much faster than we anticipated which shows that, if we\nfulfil our responsibilities, the authorities are very helpful in getting things\ndone quickly.
