I am confident that relying on our own production capacities, a professional and well-coordinated team, and close interaction with local communities will enable us to achieve our sustainable development goals,\" said ALROSA CEO Pavel Marinychev.\n \n \n Some of the biggest challenges and opportunities for the diamond industry are related to its sustainability and ability to demonstrate a positive impact across the entire supply chain, including in the context of priority carbon neutrality goals. Serious scientific research into the absorption capacity of kimberlite enabled ALROSA to achieve carbon neutrality for its diamond complex in 2024 for the first time, and in June 2025, carbon neutrality of all diamonds mined by the company, which was a unique achievement, not only for the global diamond industry. This is the world's first recognized case of carbon-neutral industrial production.\n \n \n In 2024, the company's Supervisory Board approved ALROSA Group's Climate Strategy until 2035, which stipulates a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by more than 9%. In 2024, the company allocated a total of 1.2 billion rubles to implement its Climate Strategy.
