[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTORONTO, July 27 /CNW/ - Anatolia Minerals Development Limited\n("Anatolia" or the "Company") (TSX: ANO) announces second quarter update and\noutlook for upcoming events.\n\n\nCopler Gold Project\n\n\nMilestones\n\n\nThe Company continued to advance its principal objective of building the\nCopler Gold Mine. Local community expectations remained high, with substantial\nemphasis given to managing social and community programs to ensure appropriate\nbenefits flow to local constituents. The Company achieved numerous milestones\nin the second quarter including:\n\n\n- Safety, Social, Health and Environment: Mine development and\n operating activities are being conducted to meet Turkish and\n international standards. The Company operated with one lost-time\n accident for the quarter. The Company began developing formal action\n plans to meet applicable performance standards for safety and health,\n social, and environmental guidelines. A total of 18 action plans were\n under development during the second quarter, with nine now complete.\n In addition, management has commissioned a social impact assessment\n to be conducted later this year.\n\n- Engineering, Procurement and Construction: Engineering was fully\n completed during the second quarter, and all drawings were delivered\n to Anatolia. Purchase order commitments for equipment and\n construction materials continued on schedule. As of June 30, 2009,\n Anatolia's payments against purchase order commitments for\n engineering, equipment and construction materials achieved 80% of\n contracted values. Most major components, including the crushing\n plant, screens, conveyors and tanks, were transported to site. The\n power line was substantially complete, but incurred damage in a late\n spring storm. The contractor and utility company are working to\n repair the damaged section. The power line is not needed for\n construction purposes; the construction utility power supply was not\n affected by this event. Engineering and fabrication of the ADR plant\n is substantially complete and is enroute to Turkey; the last\n remaining ADR electrical and switchgear equipment has been ordered.\n At this time no delays are anticipated due to late delivery of any\n materials or equipment.
