(\"Alacer\") [TSX: ASR and ASX: AQG] announces today that it has initiated a process to pursue a sale of its\n Australian assets.\n\n\nMr. David Quinlivan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alacer\n stated, \"Alacer has recently received confidential, non-binding\n expressions of interest from several parties interested in purchasing\n its Australian assets. The sale of the Australian assets would enable\n the company to focus on its high margin operations and exploration\n activities at its world class Çöpler Mine in Turkey.\"\n\n\nThe timing and outcome of any sale is uncertain.
