(\"Abbott\", NYSE: ABT) in replacement of Mr Jeff Barton who retires from the Board, both effective after close of business 7 November 2018. \n \nScott Leinenweber currently serves as Vice President of Investor Relations and Licensing & Acquisitions at Abbott. During his time in this role, he has been the lead spokesman with investors and served as lead for Abbott's M&A activities in the Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Pharmaceuticals and Nutritionals business segments. Scott started his career at Abbott as a financial analyst in 1997, before moving into product management, sales and marketing roles across Abbott's businesses. Mr Leinenweber holds a degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a Masters of Business Administration from the Marquette University, Graduate School of Business. \n \nPeter Jensen, Chairman of Allergy Therapeutics, commented: \"We are pleased to welcome Scott to the Board.
