(Nasdaq: ALDX) (Aldeyra), a biotechnology company devoted to developing and commercializing next-generation medicines to improve the lives of patients with immune-mediated diseases, today announced that John Sheppard, M.D., Professor of Ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School, will present results of the Phase 2b clinical trial of topical reproxalap in dry eye disease at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) 2019 Annual Meeting held April 28 through May 2, 2019, in Vancouver, Canada. \nReproxalap is a novel immune-modulating RASP (Reactive Aldehyde Species) inhibitor in late-stage development for the treatment of dry eye disease, allergic conjunctivitis, noninfectious anterior uveitis, and Sjögren-Larsson Syndrome. \nResults from a Phase 2b clinical trial completed in 2018 demonstrated that reproxalap was statistically superior to vehicle across multiple dry eye disease symptoms and signs.
