The product was created in collaboration with Meatly's first brand partner Omni Pet Ltd (\"Omni\"), a fast-growing novel protein pet food company in the UK, founded by veterinarian Dr Guy Sandelowsky.\n \nOmni has achieved more than £2 million in sales to date selling dog food crafted from pulse, algae and yeast protein. The use of Meatly's cruelty-free chicken ingredient marks an important step in the mission of both companies to offer ethical and more environmentally friendly and healthy products for pets.\n \nOnce its product has been granted regulatory approval, Meatly-produced pet food will be made available in shops across the country through partnerships with retailers and manufacturers like Omni. As an early investor in Meatly, Pets at Home Limited plans to be the first retailer to offer these products in its stores.\n \nFormerly known as 'Good Dog Food', the cultivated meat company rebranded as Meatly in November 2023 and has been working with the UK's Food Standards Agency and the Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs to obtain approval for its cultivated chicken pet food to become available to buy in the UK.\n \nOwen Ensor, Co-founder and CEO of Meatly, said:\n \n\"It is incredibly exciting to see the first ever cans of cultivated pet food fly off the production line.
