During that time numerous hours had been invested in finding mines in historical locations near towns and cities in the west of the United States. \"It was obvious that the smartest thing was not to necessarily look for new undiscovered precious metal claims, which honestly isn't even easy for the big boys, but to look for mining claims in locations that had proven rich precious metal deposits previously found. Why start from scratch? I knew for a fact that some of these claims had not been worked to their entirety and therefore they still had untapped value in not only the mine itself but in the old tailings that surrounded them. So I set out to rediscover the rich mining history of this country and connect with those that shared the same interests as me in mining and precious metals and I was absolutely astounded by what I had found.\" states Joseph Amram.The goal then, as it still is today, was to find mine owners that had a mine with real precious metals of value to acquire or partner with, with a goal of getting production started. I had met a fellow who was living in a camper near one of the claims he was working on. I had spent quite a bit of time with him and discussed the various claims that he and his partners had. One claim, in particular, had been mined for platinum and palladium and he had shown me a large raw mineralized specimen that was only a fragment of the larger piece that they had found on the property. I was quite impressed, as this extremely unique and exquisite piece, that this man had in his hand was worth approximately $20,000 in 2015 not recognizing its value as a true specimen of a natural mineralized state PBM.
