(TSX: KL) (NYSE: KL) (ASX: KLA) (\"Kirkland Lake Gold\") are pleased to announce that approval has been received from Australia's Foreign Investment Review Board (\"FIRB Approval\") regarding the proposed merger of equals between Agnico Eagle and Kirkland Lake Gold (the \"Merger\") by way of a plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario). Agnico Eagle also announces that it will release its fourth quarter and full year 2021 results on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, after normal trading hours. FIRB Approval and Anticipated Closing Date FIRB Approval is the final key regulatory approval needed in order to permit closing of the Merger. The parties anticipate that the closing date of the Merger will occur on or about February 8, 2022, subject to customary closing conditions. Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2021 Results Agnico Eagle will release its fourth quarter and full year 2021 results on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, after normal trading hours.
