BARR p.l.c., the soft drinks group, is pleased to announce that Stuart Lorimer will join the Board as Finance Director.\n \nStuart, aged 47, is an experienced finance professional, who has spent the majority of his career with Diageo PLC where he is currently Finance Director of the Group's £4 billion Global Supply Operations. During his 22 year career with Diageo, Stuart has held a wide range of senior financial roles across marketing, commercial and corporate, as well as working in many countries internationally. He is a qualified CA with a B Acc (Hons) from Glasgow University. \n \nStuart will join the Company once he has completed a handover period with Diageo.\n \nAs previously announced, Alex Short, Finance Director will leave the business at the end of August 2014.\n \nNo other information is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R in relation to Stuart Lorimer's appointment as Finance Director of the Company.\n \nRoger White, Chief Executive commented:\n \n\"Alex leaves the business shortly with our very best wishes to take up his new role at the Edrington Group.\n \n\"We are delighted to announce the appointment of Stuart Lorimer, who is an outstanding finance professional.
