Upon the publication of this announcement via a Regulatory Information Service (\"RIS\"), this inside information is now considered to be in the public domain.\n \n6 December 2017\n \nAFC Energy PLC\n \n(\"AFC Energy\" or the \"Company\")\n \n \nDirectorate Changes\nAFC Energy (AIM: AFC), the industrial fuel cell power company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Mangion as a Non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee with immediate effect.\nJoe Mangion, a Chartered Accountant, will bring to the Board over 20 years of operational experience within the environmental services and renewable energy sectors, including five years as an institutional investor and over five years as an independent consultant. Joe was previously the CEO of Swiss listed Leclanché, S.A. - a developer and producer of large format lithium-ion energy storage and energy management systems, Chairman of Solel Solar Systems Ltd., a private equity backed solar company, and a board member of Airtricity Plc., a private equity backed wind developer. Joe also acted as Group Finance Director of Veolia UK and has executed over $10 billion of M&A and capital markets transactions.\nTim Yeo and Mitchell Field, both long-serving members of the Board of AFC Energy, are stepping down as Non-executive Directors.\nJohn Rennocks, Non-executive Chairman of the Company, commented: \"Joe's experience of the storage sector, both operationally and as an investor, is invaluable to AFC Energy as we navigate this transformative period in the Company's history and I would like to extend a warm welcome to Joe as he joins our Board.
