He will lead AFC Energy in its next stage of development, as it moves towards commercialisation of its fuel cell technology. In tandem with this appointment, Ian Balchin has moved from Chief Executive Officer to Deputy Chairman with particular responsibility for future strategic direction of the Company.\n \nMr Wilson joined AFC Energy, on 28 September 2010 from his previous position as Chief Executive at WSP CEL (formerly CEL International), an engineering consultancy and project management business. He has a wealth of experience in managing multi-disciplinary turnkey projects worldwide and has a background in senior-level management positions, expertise with multi-national blue-chip companies and direct fuel cell experience with major companies, including Johnson Matthey and National Power. \n \nTim Yeo, Chairman of AFC Energy plc, commented: \"We have technology with proven fundamentals and a huge potential market.
