(S.C.CoffeeCo") announced\ntoday that James Anas has been appointed Chairman of the company and of its\nsubsidiary, The Second Cup Ltd. ("Second Cup"), effective immediately. Mr.\nCrawford stated that the appointment follows the recent passing of Mr. Gabriel\nT. Tsampalieros former owner, Chairman and CEO of both companies.\n\n\nMr. Anas was President and Chief Executive Officer of S.C.CoffeeCo from\n2001 until 2007 and served as Executive Vice Chairman of Second Cup\nthereafter. In addition, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of\nSecond Cup GP Inc., a direct subsidiary of the Second Cup Royalty Income Fund\n(TSX: SCU.UN) for the past two years. His experience includes several senior\nexecutive positions in franchisor companies as well as leading a multi unit\nfranchisee organization.\n\n\n"I was fortunate to work alongside the late Gabe Tsampalieros and we were\nproud to have built a seasoned and dynamic management team headed by the\nPresident of our companies, Stacey Mowbray.
