Beck, Executive Chairman of Aecon Group Inc. (TSX:ARE)  was pleased to announce on behalf of the Board of Directors at Aecon's Annual General Meeting in Vancouver that Susan Wolburgh Jenah has been appointed to Aecon's Board of Directors effective immediately.\n\n\"We are very pleased to have Ms. Wolburgh Jenah join our Board of Directors to bring her wealth of knowledge to our continued focus on execution and operational excellence,\" said Mr. Beck.  \"Her extensive regulatory experience and knowledge within the financial services industry will be of great benefit to Aecon, as we remain focused on delivering strong results.\"\n\nMs. Wolburgh Jenah is a corporate director and lawyer by training. She brings over 30 years of domestic and international regulatory experience as well as capital markets and financial services industry knowledge. She served as the founding President and CEO of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) until October 2014, leading the merger of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada (IDA) and Market Regulation Services Inc. to create IIROC in 2008. Prior to joining the IDA in 2007 as President and CEO, she held numerous executive roles at the Ontario Securities Commission from 1983 to 2007 including Vice-Chair and Head of International Affairs. \n\nMs. Wolburgh Jenah is a director of the Laurentian Bank of Canada, is a member of the Board of Governors of the U.S. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and is Chair of the Board of the Aequitas NEO Exchange.
