(TSX: ARE) announced\n today that its Board of Directors will appoint Teri McKibbon, currently\n President and Chief Operating Officer, as the Company's President and\n Chief Executive Officer, effective June 11, 2014, at its Annual General\n Meeting.  John M. Beck will become Executive Chairman and will continue\n to serve the Company on a full time basis.\n\n\n\"The Board has been working toward our succession plan and is committed\n to ensuring a smooth transition,\" said Brian V. Tobin, Vice-Chair and\n Lead Director.  \"We would like to extend our deep appreciation to John\n Beck and his leadership in bringing Aecon to its position today as\n Canada's premier construction and infrastructure development company. \n Teri McKibbon has proven himself as a strategic, disciplined and\n focused executive as well as being a collaborative leader.\"\n\n\nJohn M. Beck, Chairman and CEO, added: \"I have every confidence that\n Teri will lead Aecon with distinction and a relentless focus on\n execution.  He has been at the forefront of our paramount objective of\n improving margins and consistent financial performance, and of Aecon\n becoming the Canadian-based partner-of-choice for large-scale\n construction projects.\"\n\n\nIn addition to his role as Chief Operating Officer since March of 2011,\n Mr. McKibbon, 50, took on the role of President in June 2013.  He has\n been a member of the Executive Committee of Aecon Group Inc. since\n 2006. He joined Aecon in 1996, and previously led Aecon's\n Infrastructure business.\n\n\nWith more than 30 years' experience integrating and managing\n construction-related companies, he has a deep understanding of the\n diversity and complexity of Aecon's operating environment.  Mr.\n McKibbon is a Trustee of the Labourers International Union of North\n America, based in Washington D.C., and the Operating Engineers Local\n 793 Training Fund, based in Ontario.  He is a former President of the\n Canadian Pipeline Contractors Association and the Ontario Hot Mix\n Producers Association, and a former Board member of the Ontario Road\n Builders and Utility Contractors Associations.  Mr. McKibbon is\n certified by the Canadian Construction Association as a Gold Seal\n Project Manager.\n\n\nJohn M.
