Steinmann will be appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 July 2013. \n \nPeter, aged 50, is a Swiss national with over twenty years' commercial experience in Medical Devices and Diagnostics. He has held senior roles within Johnson and Johnson, Medtronic International and Boehringer Mannheim. Most recently, he was Regional Vice President Global Surgery and Shared Services, Medical Devices and Diagnostics, Austria, Switzerland and Germany at Johnson and Johnson AG, Switzerland as well as Chairman of that Board. Having worked throughout Europe and North America, Peter has extensive knowledge of the global medical devices market.\n \nPeter is currently a Non-Executive Director of Navus GmbH and is a Board Observer with Orthimo AG.\n \nCommenting on the announcement, Dr Don Evans, Chairman of AMS, said:\n \n\"I am pleased to welcome Peter to the Board of AMS.
