Admiral Group PLC 30 September 2005 Admiral Group plc Directors' interests: update to previous announcement made on 14 September 2005 (RNS Number 2463R) The announcement (RNS 2463R) made by the Company on 14 September 2005 was incorrect in so far as the number of ordinary shares in the Company subscribed for by Capita IRG Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Admiral Group plc Approved Share Incentive Plan ('SIP'), at the nominal value of 0.1 pence per ordinary share, such shares to be held in the SIP trust for the purposes of the SIP, was 581,565 ordinary shares and not, as previously announced, 581,000 ordinary shares. Also, in sofar as the number of ordinary shares allocated as'Free Shares' under the SIP to persons discharging managerial responsibility was 411 ordinary shares to each person discharging managerial responsibility and not, as previously announced,413 to each such person. The full corrected Announcement should have been: Admiral Group plc (the 'Company') announces that on 9 September 2005: (a) Capita IRG Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Admiral Group plc Approved Share Incentive Plan ('SIP'), subscribed for 581,565 ordinary shares in the Company at the nominal value of 0.1 pence per ordinary share, such shares to be held in the SIP trust for the purposes of the SIP; and (b) Capita Trust Company (Jersey) Limited, as trustee of the Admiral Group plc Employee Benefit Trust ('EBT'), subscribed for 685,000 ordinary shares in the Company at the nominal value of 0.1 pence per ordinary share, such shares to be held in the EBT for the purposes of the Company's employee share schemes (other than the SIP). The executive directors and persons exercising managerial responsibility of the Company have not received any ordinary shares pursuant to the subscription by Capita Trust Company (Jersey) Limited, but being beneficiaries under the EBT, in common with all other Admiral group employees, their potential interest in the ordinary shares held by the EBT has been increased accordingly.
