As a result, Active Energy has achieved \"Recommended Contractor Status\" and will be included on the list of providers which the Carbon Trust provides to clients participating in the IS Pilot. The Group, on an active basis, will also be matched to suitable clients with a view to securing the installation of energy efficient equipment. \n \nThe Group's voltage optimisation technology reduces energy consumption and CO₂ emissions in commercial buildings by up to 20 per cent., with average savings of 12 per cent. This makes the solution ideally suited to the aims of the IS Pilot, which is designed to support companies in implementing energy efficiency projects to reduce carbon emissions, saving both energy and money. \n \nThe Carbon Trust was established by the UK Government to support the acceleration of a low carbon economy. Over the last year alone, it has provided support to approximately 35,000 clients across the private and public sector, including 75 per cent. of FTSE 100 companies. Active Energy's existing customers include public sector organisations and private companies, including IKEA, Holiday Inn, Moto, and the Ministry of Justice.\n \nPhilip Palmer, Executive Chairman of Active Energy, commented,\n \n\"We are delighted that the Carbon Trust has chosen Active Energy as a recommended contractor for its Implementation Solutions pilot.
