[{"type":"text","content":"\n\nReach - non-regulatory announcement*\n \n7 September 2023\n \nActive Energy Group Plc\n(\"Active Energy\" or the \"Company\")\n \nAEG becomes Member of the IBTC\n \nActive Energy (AIM:AEG, OTCQB:ATGVF), a producer of sustainably-sourced, energy-dense clean carbon products and technologies, is pleased to announce that it has been voted by the members of the International Biomass Torrefaction and Carbonisation Council (\"IBTC\") to join the IBTC.\n \nThe IBTC is an organisation promoting the sustainable production of vital torrefied or carbonised technology products on a global scale, with an aim to efficiently replace carbon-emitting fuels such as coal. The IBTC members are chosen due to their commitment to contributing to the acceleration of the global transition to cleaner, more carbon-neutral fuels. Torrefaction, pyrolysis, carbonisation and even steam explosion are all thermal treatment processes which the members are developing to upgrade solid biomasses into substitutes for conventional carbon. The IBTC membership includes all industry participants, including fuel suppliers and component manufacturers.\n \nThe IBTC and Active Energy believe steam explosion processes, torrefied or sustainably sourced carbonised biomass and waste feedstocks will efficiently replace fossil carbon in all industries and applications. \n \nMichael Rowan, CEO of Active Energy, commented: \"We are extremely pleased to have been elected as a full member of the IBTC, alongside many of the key global players in the biomass supply chain.
