[{"type":"text","content":"\n Accsys Technologies PLC\n19 March 2007\n\n\n19th March 2007 AIM: AXS\n\n\n Accsys announces commercial production of AccoyaTM wood\n\n\nAccsys Technologies PLC ('Accsys' or 'the Company') announces that Titan Wood\n(www.titanwood.com), its 100% owned subsidiary, has successfully commenced the\ncommercial production of AccoyaTM wood in the Netherlands.\n\nFollowing the completion of construction at the end of last year, the eagerly\nanticipated first batch of AccoyaTM rolled smoothly off the production line at\nTitan Wood's new 30,000 m3 Arnhem facility earlier this month. Quality testing\nhas shown that the material significantly exceeded the Company's key minimum\nquality standards and as a result the first material produced has been accepted\nfor use in one of the most demanding exterior applications: sheet piling for\nDutch canals. Accoya's exceptional durability and dimensional stability makes\nit the ideal material to withstand exposure to extreme weather conditions.\n\nIn the coming weeks the company will focus on optimising the process and begin\nprocessing even higher grades of material for use in premium applications such\nas windows, doors and cladding to meet the demands of its customers, including\nBSW Timber in UK.\n\nEddie Pratt, Chief Executive of Accsys, commented: 'This is a great milestone\nfor our company and, with construction and commissioning completed in only\neleven months, a significant achievement for our team. Our order books are\ncompletely solid for the next six months, with sales confirmed in applications\nincluding cladding, siding, windows, doors, canal linings and civil\nconstruction. Eventually we hope to see AccoyaTM used in an even wider range of\napplications, replacing many other less effective and, equally importantly, less\nsustainable materials.
