[{"type":"text","content":"\n Accsys Technologies PLC\n17 August 2007\n\n17th August 2007 AIM: AXS\n\n\n Accsys announces the appointment of\n Lord Sanderson of Bowden to the Board of Directors\n\nAccsys Technologies PLC ('Accsys' or 'the Company') announces that it has\nappointed The Rt. Hon. Lord Sanderson of Bowden, Kb., D.L., to its board.\nRussell Sanderson, aged 74, is to join the board as a Non-Executive Director.\n\nLord Sanderson has significant commercial, corporate and government experience.\nHe retired as Chairman of Clydesdale Bank PLC in June 2004 having served as its\nChairman for six years and as a board member for twelve years. Until recently,\nhe was also a member of the boards of Yorkshire Bank PLC and National Australia\nBank (Europe). He served for 10 years as Chairman of Scottish Mortgage\nInvestment Trust and was a member of the boards of Morrison Construction, United\nAuctions and Shires Investment Trust. Lord Sanderson served as Minister of State\nat the Scottish Office from 1987 to 1990 and as Chairman of The Scottish\nConservative Party from 1990 to 1993. Lord Sanderson started his business career\nin the Wool Industry and was a Director of both Johnston of Elgin and\nIllingworth Morris PLC. He is currently Chairman of The Hawick Cashmere Co., and\na Director of Develica Deutschland PLC and Develica I LLP. Lord Sanderson has\nreceived Honorary Degrees from both Glasgow University and Napier University.\n\nWilly Paterson-Brown, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, of Accsys commented,\n'It is an honour to welcome Lord Sanderson to the Board of Directors of Accsys.\nHe has a wealth of experience across a diverse range of industries and\nbusinesses and will add significant value to the Company.
