Proctor Group Ltd.;\n\n • BSW has forged an exclusive agreement with leading coatings supplier Akzo\n Nobel Sikkens to provide a package of coatings guarantees for windows and\n doors that is set to create a new industry benchmark; and\n\n • Extensive testing has yielded impressive results, endorsed by British\n Research Establishment.\n\n\nBSW Press Release reads as follows: ' BSW Timber, the UK's largest sawmilling\ngroup, is hoping a new high performance wood will significantly increase its\nshare in the windows, doors and cladding markets.\n\nThe company has signed an agreement with Titan Wood to be the exclusive supplier\nacross the UK and Ireland of Accoya wood - a modified, environmentally friendly\nwood that offers outstanding levels of performance, stability and\nsustainability.\n\nFollowing two years of extensive research, BSW is now promoting Accoya wood to\nmany of the UK's leading window and door manufacturers as well as joinery firms,\nand is further planning a route to market for the timber cladding sector through\nthe A Proctor Group. BSW has also signed an exclusive agreement with leading\ncoatings supplier Akzo Nobel Sikkens to provide a high quality finish for the\nnew product.\n\nAccoya wood offers performance attributes that are equivalent to or better than\nthe best tropical hardwoods and superior to many artificial material\nalternatives. It is produced using a patented process that adapts sustainably\ngrown softwoods and non-durable hardwoods by increasing the amount of acetyl\nmolecules present in the wood.
