(TSX - ACD), a leading\nNorth American provider of factoring and other asset-based financial services\nto businesses today announced a change in name of its two Canadian operating\nsubsidiaries.\n\n\nMontreal-based Montcap Financial Corp. ("Montcap") has changed its name\nto Accord Financial Inc., while Toronto-based Accord Business Credit Inc.\n("ABC") has changed its name to Accord Financial Ltd.\n\n\nThe Company's U.S. subsidiary is already named Accord Financial, Inc. and\nhenceforth all group companies will operate under the Accord Financial name.\nCoincident with the name changes, the Company will be introducing a common\ncorporate logo and website.\n\n\nCommenting on the name changes, Tom Henderson, President of Accord\nFinancial Corp. noted "that all three of our North American operating\ncompanies will now present a uniform message to the marketplace and be able to\nbetter leverage their respective marketing activities and referral sources. \nThe message is that our myriad of financial services, including receivable\ncredit protection, asset-based lending and factoring and financing for small\nand medium sized enterprises, can now be easily accessed at any of our\nsubsidiary companies".\n\n\nFred Moss, President of Accord Financial Inc., formerly Montcap,\ncommented "we will take great care to ensure that the significant goodwill\nassociated with the Montcap name will not be lost and we will continue to\nutilize the Montcap name in our marketing efforts for a period of time".\n\n\nMark Perna, President of Accord Financial Ltd., formerly ABC, said "it is\nexciting to see all of our operating companies utilize the Accord Financial\nname and we anticipate that the cross marketing of our products will be\naccelerated with great benefit to our mutual clients".\n\n\n%SEDAR: 00001979E\n\n\n","length":1975,"tagName":"div"}]
